High Country Newfoundland Club (HCNC) maintains a placement network to provide a safe and healthy environment for Newfs in our region. HCNC's regional territory covers the states of Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. Our rescue program is unique in the fact that it is run by our breed club. We are fortunate to see far fewer canine fur-children than many rescues.

The Pet Empawrium Family supports Newfoundland rescue through fostering, donations, events, and personal time.

Careful what you wish for! An innocent comment about helping out with Newfoundland rescue when a 10-year veteran of the program retired, became a wish-come-true (?) just hours later. Table Mountain Animal Center called me the evening of October 28th to help them place a juvenile male Newf, Frank, into our program. After a bath and a trade for Huck, I was officially a foster care provider for Newf Rescue here in Colorado. In April, 2004, I accepted the position of Chair.

Thank you Huck and Frank for coming into my life and giving me something I can feel truly great about!

So, if you are greeted by a goofy, drooly, Newfie that isn't Magic, think about adopting one! Remember, I have the world’s greatest customers. What better place for a Newf to find a home! We are always accepting applications.
